About this condition
Skin ageing, sun exposure, or other forms of ultraviolet (UV) light exposure such as tanning beds, are all possible causes. You are most likely to develop age spots on areas of skin that have been over-exposed to sunlight, resulting in high concentrations of melanin forming as spots.
Sometimes referred to as sun or liver spots, these spots are particularly common on anyone over 40 years old or with light or fair skin. They are usually harmless and we offer several highly effective treatment options including Venus Versa, skin resurfacing and IPL photorejuvenation, skin peels and Hydrafacial. All options will be fully discussed with you at your consultation prior to any treatment taking place.
