Enlarged pores occur when our sebaceous glands produce excessive amounts of oil or ‘sebum’, which causes the pore to widen.
About this condition
When the sebum mixes with dead skin cells or bacteria in the pore, the pore may also become blocked causing blackheads, acne or other skin conditions. This condition can affect anyone and may be hereditary with pores usually appearing on the face, particularly around the forehead, nose and cheeks where they may look unsightly. Enlarged pores may also be found on the hands, neck, shoulders and upper body.
Treatment can dramatically reduce or remove the appearance of enlarged pores. Options may include AQ GFIT, Hydrafacial, microneedling, mesotherapy, skin peels and Venus Versa. Suitable recommendations will be discussed in detail with you prior to recommendations being made.
