About this treatment
We recommend this treatment to address a wide range of conditions including crepey, sagging or ageing skin, a double chin, eye bags, lip lines, jowls, sunken cheeks or an ageing neck. In addition to lifting and tightening the skin, PDO threads also help to stimulate collagen production beneath the skin’s surface, resulting in a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines and the added benefit of smoother, younger looking skin.
We use only the highest quality PDO threads available and our expert doctors are highly experienced in this treatment, delivering impressive results that are visible straight away.
Frequently asked questions
Is this treatment right for me?This treatment is ideal for anyone who is suffering from sagging or ageing skin on the face or neck, jowls or eye bags. We often use PDO thread lifts in combination with other treatments, for example Botox injections, dermal fillers and radiofrequency, to address specific conditions e.g. a double chin. PDO threads will not be recommended if you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
How does this treatment work?A local anaesthetic and numbing cream will be given prior to treatment commencing. Threads are inserted underneath the skin using a cannula. The threads anchor the skin, lifting it upwards. PDO treads are made from Polydioxanone, a clinically tested material commonly used in medical sutures, that over time safely dissolves in the body.
Will I feel any pain during my treatment? You may feel minor discomfort as anaesthetic is injected and also immediately after treatment, but this will soon pass.
Are there any side effects or risks associated with this treatment?Mild swelling, bruising and tenderness may occur following treatment and will usually last for 24-48 hours.
